About the role

As an automation engineer, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our clients' businesses. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to seek development opportunities and expand your skill set through hands-on experience from design to implementation. 

The ideal candidate should have 4-6 years of experience working in automation engineering and motivated for a new challenge. The role will involve developing and implementing automation solutions to improve processes and increase efficiency.

Responsibilities

The various responsibilities of the role are:

• Designing and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing processes

• Programming and configuring automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.

• Troubleshooting and maintaining automation systems to ensure optimal performance.

• Developing and executing test plans to ensure automation systems meet requirements.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.

Skills and experience

The role will require someone who can demonstrate:

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (ladder logic, structured text, function block diagrams)

• Experience with HMI and SCADA systems

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Constructive two way engagement with all stakeholders.

• An ability to consistently achieve results and deliver on promises (do what they say they will)

The minimum experience required for this role is:

• Tertiary qualifications in a Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 4-6 years automation experience

• Project experience
