About the role: 

You can expect to work across:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial building and construction contracts and contractor agreements.
• Project structuring, risk allocation and financing arrangements across residential and commercial developments.
• Security of Payment matters, including progress claims, payment schedules and adjudications.
• Commercial and residential building disputes through VCAT and the courts, including mediation and settlement.
• Related property and commercial work, including acquisitions and disposals, leasing and general commercial contracts.

The ideal candidate:

• 1–4 years' PQE with exposure to construction, building or broader commercial and property work.
• Passion for construction law. 
• Strong drafting, research and analytical skills.
• A commercial, practical mindset and good interpersonal skills for dealing with clients and other parties.
• A team player keen to build a career at a well-regarded boutique.
