Boilermakers (Metal Fabricators)

Opportunity for experienced boilermakers to join our team!

This role is a workshop-based opportunity, in our Bibra Lake facility - supporting the workshop team in repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on crushing, screening, washing & conveying equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fabrication work, ensuring a high quality finished product is delivered consistently.

• Maintain boilermaker bay, ensuring tools and equipment are well kept.

• Position, align and secure structural parts to all equipment ensuring that weld points meet company and legislative requirements.

• Reading and interpreting machine specific procedures, technical drawings, flowcharts, part manuals and training related materials.

• Cut, shape, bend and fabricate metals to create parts for all designated equipment and jobs allocated.

• Provide full assistance and cooperation with all workshop activities.

• Proactively perform non-trade specific tasks incidental to the workshop.

About you

• Trades Qualification, with welding skills commensurate to the qualification.

• Full unrestricted ‘C’ Class Driver’s License – HR, forklift and overhead crane licences essential.

• At least 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in welding maintenance operations, with at least 3 years' proven experience working on industrial mobile plant, mineral processing, or bulk materials handling equipment.

• Experience with reading and interpreting hydraulics and electrical schematics.

• Be physically capable of performing manual tasks.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol screen.

• Proactive and self-motivated.

• Good knowledge of maintenance operations and methods in different environments.

• Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.
