About the role
We are looking for an analytical and commercially minded Demand Planning Analyst to turn customer and market data into clear insights that drive confident forecasts and planning decisions across our Original Equipment (OE) and Aftermarket business.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who understands the automotive/OE environment and enjoys working at the intersection of customers, sales, production, logistics and finance.
What you’ll do
Lead OE & Aftermarket sales forecasting and demand analysis, translating customer forecasts into accurate production forecasts and budgets.
Partner with OE customers, Account Managers and internal stakeholders to understand current and future demands.
Analyse sales, product and market trends and turn data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Support long-term forecasting and continuously assess forecast accuracy and effectiveness.
Work closely with Sales, Planning, Production, Logistics, Marketing, Finance and Operations and Customers to optimise order-to-delivery outcomes.
Develop and maintain robust reporting through Phocas BIS and Syteline, ensuring data is accurate, timely and trusted.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and utilisation of business intelligence tools.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for an experienced analyst who can combine strong commercial acumen with a genuine understanding of the automotive/OE operating environment. You are as comfortable with the analysis and numbers as you are communicating with key stakeholders and customers.
You’ll ideally have:
3+ years’ experience in sales, business, financial or planning analysis.
Experience in automotive, OEM/OE, manufacturing or distribution environments.
Strong data analysis and presentation capability, with advanced Excel skills.
Experience working with customers and/or sales teams and a sound understanding of sales, distribution and demand planning processes.
Experience with Phocas, Syteline or similar business intelligence/ERP platforms.
Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
A curious, commercially minded and proactive approach, with a strong focus on turning analysis into action.
Most importantly, you’ll understand the pace, complexity and high customer expectations of an automotive/OE environment and know how to combine data with a strong understanding of customers and the market to help the business make better decisions.
