Job Description

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Specialist Wholesale Group on a 12-month max-term contract.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will support strong financial stewardship across the portfolio, with a focus on month-end execution, accurate reporting, financial controls, governance and compliance.

This is a great opportunity for an Accountant or Finance Analyst who enjoys structured financial processes, problem solving, continuous improvement and working collaboratively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support month-end close activities including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reportingAnalyse financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks and opportunitiesPrepare and maintain key financial controls including BAS reconciliations, fixed asset reporting and intercompany processesManage customer rebate calculations, reconciliations and reporting to ensure accuracy and complianceSupport daily, weekly and monthly sales reporting requirements across the businessAssist with budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and business performance reportingSupport audit requirements, group reporting and compliance activitiesContribute to process improvement initiatives, financial control enhancements and reporting efficiencies

Qualifications

You are a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and partnering with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

You will bring:

Tertiary qualifications (or progress toward qualification) in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related disciplineExperience in a Financial Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Commercial Analyst or similar finance roleStrong experience with month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reportingUnderstanding of journals, BAS, fixed assets and intercompany accounting processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience working with ERP and financial systemsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsA proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement

Desirable

CA/CPA qualification or currently working towards completionExperience within wholesale, distribution, retail or multi-site environments
