Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have valid Australian work rights. This includes visa holders. Permanent appointments may be made to individuals who hold citizenship, permanent residency, or visas that enable ongoing employment in Australia.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants found suitable for this position may be considered for other ‘similar’ vacancies within DOH and/or the wider WA public sector. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile: The Senior Project Officer manages and coordinates the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives related to health and medical research and innovation. This portfolio includes implementation of the WA Clinical Trials Roadmap, with projects focusing on building WA’s clinical trials capacity and capability.

Implementation of the WA Clinical Trials Roadmap aligns with the WA Health and Medical Research Strategy 2023–2033, which outlines the priorities and direction of health and medical research and innovation for the state.
