Your new role:

As a Registered Nurse in the Paediatric Emergency Department at Logan Hospital, you'll provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care to children and their families in a fast-paced Level 5 Emergency Department. Working alongside experienced nursing, medical and allied health professionals, you'll assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality care while developing your specialist paediatric emergency nursing skills.

• Work collaboratively with children, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Support safe, timely and effective clinical decision-making and escalation of care.
• Take part in the Emergency Department's paediatric nurse education progression pathway.
• Develop your clinical knowledge and confidence across a broad range of paediatric presentations.

About you:

We're looking for a Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to children and families and is motivated to build their expertise in paediatric emergency nursing. You'll bring sound clinical judgement, a commitment to learning and the ability to thrive within a collaborative emergency care environment.

• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills relevant to paediatric nursing practice.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a busy Emergency Department.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
