The Mine Production Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise to the Phosphate Hill Mining Operations as well as fulfilling all functional requirements covered by the Mine Production Coordinator.

This position is a great opportunity for an early-career Mining Engineer looking to build their technical capability while gaining hands-on exposure to mining operations, short-term planning and production activities in a large open pit environment.

Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, you'll work closely with site leaders, contractors and technical teams to optimise production outcomes and ensure a safe, efficient mining operation. You'll play a key role in translating mine plans into practical operational outcomes, while developing the skills and experience needed for future leadership opportunities.

• Ensuring compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, procedures and objectives
• Safely deliverering mining objectives in accordance with the A3
• Developing and implementing short to long term mine plans
• Maintaining efficiency and maximises Mining Contract deliverables
• Coordinating mining activities to achieve business objectives
• Preparing and communicating high level reports using Company business systems

We're looking for a motivated Mining Engineer who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with operational teams and delivering practical outcomes in the field.

• A commitment to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
• A degree qualification in Mining Engineering
• 1-5 years' experience within an open pit mining environment
• Intimate knowledge of legislated safety requirements applicable to mining activities
• High level of computer literacy particularly in Surpac, MS office, Excel and SAP business systems knowledge
• Experience with Deswik CAD (Preferred)
• Mine Site Safety Supervisor (G1, G8 and G9), formerly known as QMS 123
