Field Service Technician - Bus

Are you a Refrigeration Mechanic looking for a change of pace and something new? You'll be working on Bus air-conditioning. At QTK Group, we’re offering a role with independence, variety, and the chance to grow with a supportive team. You could be working on customer sites, repairing and maintaining bus air-conditioning units.

This role is perfect if you enjoy autonomy, don’t mind working solo, and like the idea of taking ownership of your day. You’ll be provided with a fully stocked van, complete with all parts to succeed. We are looking for someone with experience and the ability to hit the ground running.

About the Role

As a Field Service Technician – Bus, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and installing refrigeration systems on buses. This full-time role is based out of our workshop in Penrith, NSW, and includes a company vehicle. If you like being hands-on, solving problems, and working on-site with customers, this is a fantastic opportunity.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

• Carrying out preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations of bus air-conditioning units

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting refrigeration issues

• Installing new refrigeration systems and components

• Keeping accurate records of all work completed

• Delivering great customer service and building relationships with clients

• Working safely and following all industry standards and regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a transport refrigeration mechanic is highly regarded; candidates with an automotive electrical background and some air conditioning experience are also encouraged to apply

• Bus or transport industry experience is a bonus, but not essential, as training and development support will be provided

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

• Good communication skills to work with customers and colleagues

• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on field service work

• Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites

• A commitment to safety and quality in everything you do
