Junior Developer

Role DescriptionThe Junior Developer is responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and systems. The role involves translating technical requirements into functional code, assisting with application enhancements, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to the delivery of reliable and maintainable software solutions.Key responsibilities include developing and modifying software features, writing clean and well-structured code, performing unit testing, debugging technical issues, and participating in code reviews. The Junior Developer will collaborate with senior developers, product teams, QA teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve issues, and deliver solutions according to project specifications.The role also involves maintaining technical documentation, supporting application deployment and updates, monitoring software performance, and continuously improving development practices. The Junior Developer is expected to learn new technologies, follow coding standards and security practices, and contribute positively to team-based software development projects.QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.Basic to intermediate knowledge of software development principles, data structures, algorithms, and programming concepts.Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, C++, or PHP.Familiarity with databases, SQL, APIs, Git, and basic software development life cycle practices.Understanding of web development, application frameworks, testing methods, and debugging techniques is an advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to investigate and resolve technical issues.Good understanding of clean coding practices, version control, documentation, and basic software security principles.Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical team members.Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new programming languages, tools, and technologies.Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, accept feedback, and continuously improve technical skills.
