About the role
Edensor Park Public School is a dynamic school with a culture of high expectations where every child will experience success and be given opportunities to reach their highest potential. The school currently has an enrolment of 259 plus students, 80% being EALD. The school has a strong and professional executive team and a blend of experienced and early career teachers, all of whom are actively engaged in professional learning to improve professional practice. There is a very strong collaborative and collegial culture.
The wellbeing of students and their families is our first priority, where all stakeholders work together to support student learning. There is an emphasis on open communication between students, families, and relevant support services to maximise outcomes for all students.
General Selection Criteria1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people

Highly visible, approachable leader with outstanding emotional intelligence and strong communication practices to foster a positive school environment that drives engagement, positive wellbeing outcomes and success for all students.
An inspiring leader that has a demonstrated capacity to lead highly collaborative instructional leadership teams to build collective teacher efficacy.
Demonstrated capacity to proactively engage with the entire school community in authentic and transparent ways that are culturally inclusive with a strong commitment to strengthening valuable partnerships
Capacity to strategically plan, implement, and evaluate quality innovative programs that drive whole school improvement and learning excellence.
Classification Structure for Principals:
The Crown Employees (Teachers in Schools and Related Employees) Salaries and Conditions Award 2020 details the new principal classification structure based on complexity of schools which commenced in 2016. The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school’s RAM allocation. As part of the ongoing application of the new structure a review of thresholds and outcomes will occur on an annual basis. The principal classification for this school is Principal Level P2 for 2026.
