The Role

As a Technical Lead – Appian, you’ll provide hands-on technical leadership across Pepper Technology, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality Appian-based solutions. You’ll guide squads through design and delivery, ensure alignment with enterprise standards, and help build a stable, scalable platform for the future.

This role blends deep technical expertise with people leadership, working closely with Architects, Product Owners and Engineering Managers to turn strategy into practical outcomes.

• Lead solution design and technical delivery across squads
• Ensure alignment with architecture, security and engineering standards
• Coach and mentor engineers to uplift capability and quality
• Manage technical debt and support platform stability
• Contribute to Appian standards and communities of practice
• Partner with stakeholders to manage dependencies and delivery priorities
   

About you

You’re a collaborative technical leader who enjoys being close to delivery and supporting others to succeed. You bring strong Appian experience, sound engineering judgement, and a practical approach to solving complex problems.

• Extensive application development experience, including Appian
• Proven experience leading technical design in Agile environments
• Strong understanding of integrations, APIs, databases and secure design
• Hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services, Azure Data Platform, and data orchestration capabilities.
• Experience mentoring engineers and guiding best practice
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
• Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent experience (Appian certification advantageous)
