About the Health Centre

Amberley Health Centre, located at RAAF Base Amberley — the largest Air Force base in Australia, just 50 minutes from Brisbane. The centre delivers healthcare services to over 6,500 RAAF members and includes primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, and mental health care. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).

What you’ll do

• Deliver high quality primary healthcare, including health assessments and vaccinations or monitor and manage patients in a low dependency ward setting
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, physios, mental health clinicians, and dental professionals
• Support Defence members through injury recovery, chronic condition management, and preventative care

What you bring

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum one year Registered Nurse experience in acute care, primary health care or military setting
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
• Australian Citizenship required (Baseline Security Clearance)
• Commitment to CPD and ethical, patient centred care

• This is a permanent part-time position, with flexible options available:

  • 0.6 FTE: Monday, Wednesday  (8-hour shifts) and Friday (5.5-hour shift)
  • 0.8 FTE: Tuesday ,Wednesday and Thursday  (8-hour shifts) and Friday (5.5-hour shift)

  You will be joining a supportive multidisciplinary healthcare team committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
