Help create welcoming, inclusive library experiences across the City of PAE

We’re looking for a passionate customer service professional to join our Libraries team as a Library Officer – Customer Experience.

This is a Full Time Fixed Term Contract until August 2027.

About the Role 

As a Library Officer – Customer Experience, you’ll be one of the friendly faces supporting customers across our library locations. You’ll help deliver accessible, inclusive and responsive services that support literacy, learning, digital confidence and community wellbeing.

• Create positive, welcoming and inclusive experiences for library customers across the City of PAE.
• Support customers to access information, resources, programs, technology and lifelong learning opportunities.
• Contribute to library programs, outreach activities, community spaces, room bookings and Home Library Service delivery.
• Help keep our library spaces safe, accessible and well-presented for customers, programs, events and displays.

About You

You’ll be a calm, capable and customer-focused person who communicates clearly, listens actively and brings patience, empathy and professionalism to every interaction. You’ll be confident using digital technology and supporting others to build their skills. A Diploma or Certificate in Library Studies and Information Services, or equivalent experience, is desirable. You’ll also hold, or be willing to obtain, the required Working with Children Check and Child Safe Environments Training, and hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence.

This is a Level 2 role with a current salary of $77,269 per annum plus superannuation
