The opportunity
As a Senior Engineer (Civil) with TMR's Program Delivery and Operations - Central Queensland Region, you'll lead the planning and delivery of road infrastructure projects across one of Queensland's most diverse and expansive regions. From coastal corridors to outback highways, your work will directly support the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP) and help maintain over 9,000 km of state‑controlled roads. This role offers the scale, complexity and autonomy to make a real impact, while enjoying the lifestyle and community benefits of living in Rockhampton.
What you'll be doing
In this senior technical and project leadership role, you will:
• Project manage the delivery of road infrastructure, maintenance and construction projects
• Act as Administrator for nominated construction and maintenance contracts
• Lead and support engineers and technical staff delivering Road Maintenance Performance Contracts
• Provide expert engineering advice across planning, design, construction and maintenance phases
• Manage stakeholder relationships with contractors, local government and internal teams
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, legislation and safety requirements
• Assess and coordinate NHVR Heavy Vehicle Permits within the Fitzroy District
• Drive customer‑focused outcomes and resolve network and corridor management issues
