Technical Product Owner

We are looking for a skilled Technology Product Owner, to lead our Risk Technology team. You will be pivotal in shaping the technical roadmap and managing the product backlog to protect our customers and the bank.

You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Risk, Data Platforms, and Engineering, to enhance our detection systems and ensure they meet strategic and regulatory needs. You will bring a wealth of experience in the Risk Technology landscape, a strong understanding of technology risk governance environments, and proven experience in a Technology Product Owner role.

In this role you'll get to…

• Define and execute a robust technical roadmap to enable strong risk management outcomes in alignment to the Bank's vision, strategy and values.
• Drive the continuous improvement of platforms supporting enterprise risk management
• Own and prioritise the product backlog translating high level business requirements into detailed user stories
• Partner with Risk, Technology, Data Platforms and Engineering teams to ensure technical changes are operationally viable, meet compliance requirements and align with the technical roadmap.

What you'll bring to the role

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Experience within the Risk Technology landscape with a deep understanding of platforms and big data environments used to support enterprise governance, risk and compliance.
• Practical understanding of non-financial risk with proven experience working in highly regulated environments
• Experience in a Product Owner or similar role, with a strong understanding of Agile principles, backlog management, and roadmap development.
• Familiarity with the Australian financial services regulatory landscape is highly desirable.
• Highly effective engagement and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive change across the enterprise.
