About the role

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a senior cybersecurity professional to join a highly respected leader in their domain. As part of the senior leadership group, you will work closely with the executive committee, providing strategic advisory and hands-on leadership to develop best practice security frameworks, polices and procedures to transform and uplift the organisation's security posture. Leveraging your experience in managing a security operations centre, you will be responsible for administering security controls, as well as the management of major incident response plans, simulations and teams.

Joining an experienced team of cyber security professionals you will bring a collaborative, delivery-focused approach. This role would suit a senior cybersecurity professional who is seeking to secure a high impact and career enhancing position.

What are we looking for?

To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following mandatory skills:

• 10 + years of experience in cybersecurity in a complex, enterprise environment
• Strong understanding of Network, Infrastructure, Applications, Cloud
• Ability to influence and develop relationships with executive management; Experience in chairing executive committee meetings 
• Advanced hands-on experience in security standards including NIST, Essential 8, ISO 27001, ASD, OWASP, ISM. VPDSS
• Hands-on experience in designing cyber security principles, frameworks, tools, policies, incident management
• Proven experience in leading major incident response teams, overseeing vulnerability management and risk assessments 
• Previous experience in providing cyber risk advisory
• Experience working in large-scale, complex environments
• Excellent communication and senior stakeholder management skills
