About the role

Join a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering community-based physiotherapy across Melbourne's north-west. Enjoy a diverse caseload, flexible work, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people from diverse communities.

The role will be primarily based at the cohealth Niddrie site.

Your duties include:

• Provide physiotherapy services ensuring a welcoming environment that allows consumers to enquire and learn about a range of health related matters to support with self management
• Contribute and participate in health education and promotion to maximise good health and prevent illness
• Refer, consult and liaise with staff within the organisation and other local agencies including allied health assistants to ensure a holistic multi-disciplinary approach to health care provision
• Act as an advocate for consumers as appropriate

Our ideal candidate:

• Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy with relevant registration
• At least two years clinical Physiotherapy experience
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the areas of musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and/or neurological outpatient physiotherapy
• Understanding of the principles of chronic disease management

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination.

Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
