Mantra Bunbury Lighthouse is seeking an energetic and passionate Chef de Partie to join our team with an immediate start available.

We are looking for someone with strong à la carte experience who can jump in with confidence, support the team during peak service times, and deliver consistent, high-quality dishes.

About the Role:
BASALT RESTAURANT & BAR offers stunning views of the Indian Ocean and caters to travellers, locals, events, and special occasions. As part of our kitchen team, you will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience additionally assisting with functions and event catering.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting à la carte dishes to a high standard

• Managing your section efficiently to ensure smooth service

• Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness practices

• Assisting with stock rotation and reducing food waste

• Providing assistance with functions and events catering as required.

• Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver seamless service

What We're Looking For:

• Qualification in Commercial Cookery (or working towards)

• Previous experience as a CDP or strong Demi Chef experience

• Previous experience in function and event catering

• Solid knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation

• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and a positive attitude

• Strong understanding of food safety standards
