Laser Dermatology and Dermatology Institute of Victoria are leading specialist dermatology practices dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

We pride ourselves on providing GPs with rapid access to specialist dermatology appointments, ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality care when they need it most.

We have worked hard to create more appointment availability for referring GPs. Now we're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Medical Liaison Officer to strengthen relationships with Melbourne's referring GP community and increase awareness of the services available across both practices.

About the Role

Reporting to the Victorian Business Manager, you'll be the primary liaison between our practices and the local GP community.

Your role will involve visiting GP practices throughout metropolitan Melbourne, developing strong professional relationships, promoting our specialist dermatology services and educating healthcare providers about our referral pathways.

You'll arrange practice visits, coordinate follow-up activities, support GP engagement initiatives and assist with educational events. When you're not out visiting practices, you'll be based from our Box Hill clinic planning your schedule, maintaining records and working closely with the Victorian Business Manager to identify opportunities for continued growth.

This is an autonomous role suited to someone who enjoys being out in the GP community, meeting people and making a genuine difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with GP practices across metropolitan Melbourne.

• Arrange and conduct meetings with GPs and practice teams.

• Promote the services offered by Laser Dermatology and Dermatology Institute of Victoria.

• Increase awareness of our rapid access to specialist dermatology services.

• Educate healthcare providers on referral pathways and available services.

• Develop ongoing referral relationships through regular communication and follow-up.

• Contact practices unable to accommodate face-to-face visits by telephone and coordinate information mail-outs.

• Maintain accurate records of GP interactions and engagement activities.

• Assist in coordinating GP education evenings and referral engagement events.

• Work collaboratively with the Victorian Business Manager to support the continued growth of both practices.

About You

You're an energetic, personable and self-motivated professional who enjoys building relationships and working independently.

You communicate confidently, present professionally and take pride in delivering an outstanding experience for every practice you visit.

Experience in one or more of the following will be highly regarded:

• Medical liaison or GP engagement

• Pharmaceutical or medical device sales

• Healthcare business development

• Specialist medical practice or private hospital liaison

• Allied health or healthcare relationship management

• Customer relationship management within the healthcare sector

You'll also have:

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organisational and time management abilities

• Confidence managing your own workload and schedule

• A proactive and positive attitude

• A current Victorian Driver Licence

• A reliable motor vehicle
