Underground HD Fitter

About the Role: We’re seeking experienced and qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faultsConducting preventative maintenance and breakdown repairsWorking on a variety of underground mining equipment, including:Sandvik trucks, drills, and loadersCAT gradersVolvo integrated tool carriersScoping jobs and accurately estimating time, materials, and resource requirementsCollaborating closely with shift supervisors, mechanics, and other underground personnel What’s in It for You:

What We’re Looking For:

A Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification recognised in Australia (essential)At least 2 years’ post-trade experience in underground mining or related industries (e.g. agriculture, civil, construction)A manual driver’s licence (essential) and relevant RPLs to operate underground vehiclesSolid knowledge of underground mining regulations, procedures, and safe handling of explosivesStrong diagnostic, fault-finding, and maintenance skillsCapability to work in confined spaces and handle physically demanding conditionsMust be able to pass a pre-employment medical to include a drug and alcohol screeningNational Police Clearance within the last 6 months required for this role
