As a Lead Gardener, you'll play a hands-on role in maintaining and enhancing the parks, gardens and open spaces our community enjoys every day. You'll work across a variety of locations, shaping high-quality horticultural outcomes that are visible across the region.

You'll work with a great team to:

• Deliver high-quality horticultural maintenance and landscape installation across Council's open spaces

• Provide guidance and support to team members and contractors onsite

• Ensure work is completed safely, on time and within budget

• Assist with planning, programming and prioritising works to meet service standards

What you'll bring

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• Certificate III in Horticulture (or related field) and relevant industry experience

• Demonstrated experience leading horticultural works and planning/programming activitie

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Experience working with community or volunteer groups

• Class C Driver Licence

We would also love you to have:

• Experience with Council systems or general administrative tools (e.g. MS Office)

• Construction Induction (White Card) or other relevant tickets/licences

• Chemical handling or traffic control certifications

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $76,485 to $88,889.
