As a Lead Gardener, you'll play a hands-on role in maintaining and enhancing the parks, gardens and open spaces our community enjoys every day. You'll work across a variety of locations, shaping high-quality horticultural outcomes that are visible across the region.

You'll work with a great team to:
Deliver high-quality horticultural maintenance and landscape installation across Council's open spaces
Provide guidance and support to team members and contractors onsite
Ensure work is completed safely, on time and within budget
Assist with planning, programming and prioritising works to meet service standards
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
Certificate III in Horticulture (or related field) and relevant industry experience
Demonstrated experience leading horticultural works and planning/programming activitie
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience working with community or volunteer groups
Class C Driver Licence
We would also love you to have:
Experience with Council systems or general administrative tools (e.g. MS Office)
Construction Induction (White Card) or other relevant tickets/licences
Chemical handling or traffic control certifications

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $76,485 to $88,889.
