The Opportunity

We are seeking committed Part-time and Casual Housekeeping Assistants to join our team at Coppin Residential Aged Care Facility. In this essential role, you’ll help maintain a clean, hygienic, and inviting environment for residents, families, and staff.

You’ll be part of a compassionate community, engaging with residents and supporting those living with dementia, illness, or disability while contributing to the overall comfort and wellbeing of the home.

We are looking for candidates who are willing to work the following permanent roster: 

Week 1

• Monday: 09:00am-16:00pm
• Tuesday: 09:00am-16:00pm
• Wednesday: 09:00am-16:00pm
• Friday: 09:00am-16:00pm
• Friday: 08:00am-14:00pm

Week 2

• Monday: 09:00am-16:00pm
• Tuesday: 09:00am-16:00pm
• Wednesday: 09:00am-16:00pm
• Friday: 09:00am-16:00pm 
• Friday: 10:00am- 14:30pm 

Your Responsibilities: 

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, kitchens and laundry facilities.
• Operate cleaning equipment and utilise the electronic cleaning system to complete daily tasks.
• Follow infection control procedures, including the correct use of colour coded cleaning equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards, workplace health and safety requirements and accreditation standards.
• Clean and maintain floors, carpets, bathrooms, and other facility areas to established standards.
• Safely handle, store and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Preform additional cleaning and housekeeping duties as directed by management.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, hospitality or commercial cleaning is highly desirable.

• Genuine empathy for older people and a positive, uplifting attitude.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, infection control and safety. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced residential care environment.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering excellent service and creating a welcoming environment for residents. 

Requirements:

• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or Police Check.

• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination and annual Influenza vaccination encouraged
