We are seeking a practical and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team and become part of our ongoing success.

About the Role

Provides a variety of work, that will fully utilise all your skills with the potential do develop more!.

Key Responsibilities

• To work in a safe and standard way, and provide support for safe and standard work

• Daily start‑up, shutdown and changeover of production lines to ensure stable production cycles

• Mechanical maintenance and repair of food production equipment

• Preventative maintenance tasks

• Breakdown response and fault-finding

• Support general site maintenance as required

• contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

About You

• Meredith Dairy will place high value on candidates that meet with points 1,2 and3 above.

• Happy to work a weekday rotation, that will include weekend work (shared roster)

• Trade qualified fitter, mechanical technician, electrician or equivalent hands‑on experience

• (training will be provided, across all equipment so please feel confident to apply if you meet the values criteria but require any additional training in other areas)

• Experience or exposure to manufacturing environments (food manufacturing desirable)

• Strong or developing mechanical fault‑finding skills

• Practical, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication across different roles and expectations supportive teamwork skills

• Current driver's licence essential due to location

Desirable (but not essential)

• Welding or fabrication skills

• Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems

• Forklift Licence
