Project Financial Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Financial Analyst to join a high-performing IT Delivery team, supporting the financial management of a portfolio of technology projects and programs.

The successful candidate will bring a strong background in project finance within technology or IT project environments, with hands-on experience managing project budgets, accruals, forecasting, actuals reporting, and financial analysis.

• Manage project financials across a portfolio of technology and digital transformation initiatives.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Monitor actual expenditure against budget and forecast, identifying variances and associated risks.
• Coordinate month-end processes, including accruals, journals, and financial reporting activities.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support project decision-making.
• Partner with project delivery teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with governance requirements.
• Support business case tracking, benefits realisation, and project financial performance reporting.
• Develop and maintain reporting packs for senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

• Proven experience as a Project Financial Analyst, Project Accountant, or similar project finance-focused role.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, forecasting, actuals reporting, accruals, and financial governance.
• Previous experience supporting IT, technology, digital transformation, or enterprise project delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle financial management and project portfolio reporting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with both finance and technology teams.

This is a day rate contracting opportunity, with 3 days onsite work and 2 days work from home.
