Commercial Garden and Lawn Maintenance Team Members

About the role

ELGM GROUP PTY LTD is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Commercial Garden and Lawn Maintenance Team Members to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Wellington Point, QLD 4160. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of commercial properties through professional gardening and lawn care services. You will work as part of a dynamic team, contributing to the high standards of service that our clients expect and deserve. This position is integral to our operations, ensuring that commercial spaces remain well-maintained, attractive, and welcoming to visitors and staff alike.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular lawn mowing, edging, and trimming on commercial properties to maintain neat and professional appearance

• Conduct garden bed maintenance, including weeding, mulching, and planting

• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently

• Perform hedge and shrub pruning and shaping to professional standards

• Remove garden waste and debris, ensuring sites are left clean and tidy after each service

• Perform basic fertilizing and pest control treatments as required

• Maintain accurate timekeeping and follow schedules for multiple commercial locations

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure quality service delivery

• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

• Report maintenance issues or damage to equipment or property to management promptly

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in garden maintenance, landscaping, or lawn care (either commercial or residential)

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods

• Proficiency in operating lawn mowers, brushcutting, hedge trimmers, and other gardening equipment including Walker Mowers and Cylinder Mowers, is an advantage but not essential

• Knowledge of plants, trees, and shrubs, and their seasonal care requirements

• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

• Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport

• Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)

• Current Working with Children Check or Blue Card (if applicable to role requirements)

• Willingness to undertake relevant training and certifications as required
