Role Overview

Mercor is looking for detail-oriented individuals with 2-3 years of experience in STEM, non-STEM fields, or currently enrolled postgrad college students to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications

Required: All experts on this project must have a Macbook device with an ‘M’ series chip to perform tasks on.Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institutionStrong online research and communication skillsAbility to gather and clearly summarize information from diverse sourcesExcellent written communication skillsInterdisciplinary degree is a nice to haveMust have a Macbook with one of the following requirements:Apple Silicon (ARM) MacsM‑series MacBook Pro, orMacBook Air models running macOS 15 or higher
Job Details

Part-time commitment of approximately 10-20 hours per weekResponsibilities include creating high-quality research questions, answers, and evaluation materials to train advanced language modelsClearly structured responsibilities without the high pressure typically found in internships or full-time consulting rolesImmediate start preferred

Contract and Payment Terms

You will be engaged as an independent contractor.This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.Your work at Mercor will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.Please note: We are unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates at this time.
