If you’re a self-sufficient Senior to Staff level IC who loves building from scratch, happily owns data engineering pipelines and wants to see their insights directly drive product strategy and customer success… this is a great fit for you!

What your day to day will look like:

• Build the DW by designing, modeling, and maintaining the foundational data architecture using SQL, Python, Snowflake, and dbt.
• Diagnose payments friction by diving directly into raw, multi-gateway transactional payments data from early beta partners to identify gateway decline patterns and checkout failures.
• Analyse user acquisition funnels and subscription signup-to-paid behaviors to locate and patch revenue leakage.
• Design client-facing features by collaborating closely with product and design folks to translate payments data into automated, customer-facing optimization alerts inside our user portal.
• Drafting and documenting repeatable data transformation frameworks to automate and scale our data strategy from the ground up.

What you will bring to the team:

• Strong quantitative background w/ hands-on experience as a Senior to Staff level Data Scientist, Product Data Scientist Analytics engineer, Data engineer, Product analyst etc.
• Expert level SQL and Python
• Experience working w/ Payments, subscription billing or transactional growth funnels 
• Technical self-sufficiency to design your own schemas & ingest your own data from raw billing APIs
• Excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex data models in simple commercial terms directly to customers and stakeholders

Nice to have:

• For Staff level DS – Experience building with dbt & Snowflake is highly valued (we’re also happy to support a Senior DS who wants to move into this).
