Trodan Produce is a Western Australian manufacturer of fresh vegetable products committed to producing safe, high-quality food. We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance & Transport Manager to lead our maintenance function, improve equipment reliability and oversee the upkeep of our factory, infrastructure and transport assets.

About the Role

This is a practical leadership role that combines hands-on maintenance with planning and continuous improvement. You'll be responsible for maintaining production equipment, transport assets and factory infrastructure, developing preventative maintenance programs, coordinating contractors when required and ensuring our factory operates safely and efficiently.

In addition, there will be coordination activities with our Transport function ensuring supply between our Farms and Customers is smooth and efficient.

You'll work across a diverse range of food processing and packaging equipment, including vegetable wash lines, vertical form fill and seal (VFFS) packaging machines, flow wrappers, conveyors and product inspection systems. Experience maintaining similar food manufacturing equipment will be highly regarded.

The job is predominately Monday to Friday 6am – 4pm although some weekend work can be experienced during busy trade periods and around long weekend periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee maintenance of factory equipment, transport assets and building infrastructure.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation faults within your qualifications.

• Maintain and support Propak ultrasonic VFFS machines, Paxiom heat-seal VFFS machines, Tripax wash lines, flow wrappers, metal detectors, checkweighers, X-ray inspection systems, conveyors and associated processing equipment.

• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules.

• Maintain the asset register, work orders, maintenance records and spare parts inventory.

• Coordinate contractors and equipment suppliers when specialist support is required.

• Support equipment installations, upgrades and commissioning.

• Improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime and minimise contractor reliance.

• Ensure compliance with WHS, GMP, HACCP and Food Safety requirements.

• Support and train production staff in the safe operation and basic care of equipment.

• Prepare maintenance reports and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You will have:

• A recognised trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Fitting & Turning, Mechatronics or a related discipline.

• Strong hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Sound mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.

• Experience with preventative maintenance systems, plant reliability and continuous improvement.

• The ability to organise contractors, suppliers and competing maintenance priorities.

• A strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance.

• The ability to work independently while leading and supporting others.
