Role Description This part-time, remote Entry Level Software Developer role supports the design, development, and maintenance of Pulse Labs’ AI-powered research platform. In this role, the developer collaborates with senior engineers to implement new features, fix bugs, and optimize back-end services that power user research workflows. Daily tasks include writing clean, maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and testing software components to ensure reliability and performance. The developer also assists with integrating data from various services and APIs, documenting technical work, and contributing to improvements in development processes and tooling. This role is designed for individuals starting their software engineering careers who are eager to learn in a collaborative, distributed environment.QualificationsStrong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and core Software Development concepts.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.Basic experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development and related technologies.Ability to write clear, maintainable code and follow established coding standards.Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.Effective problem-solving skills and willingness to learn from feedback and mentorship.Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with remote teams.Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Interest in AI, data-driven products, or user experience research is a plus.
