Senior Building & Leak Investigation Technician

Stanley Plumbing is one of Melbourne's leading specialists in leak detection, roof inspections, CCTV drainage inspections and insurance-related investigations. We work with major insurance builders, loss adjusters and property owners to identify the true cause of water ingress and drainage issues through detailed testing and professional reporting.

We are looking for an experienced tradesperson who enjoys solving problems rather than simply installing plumbing systems. While plumbing experience is highly regarded, we also encourage applications from experienced roof plumbers, builders, carpenters, building inspectors and other tradespeople with strong residential construction knowledge.

This is a specialist role where every day is different. Full training will be provided in our inspection methods, specialised equipment and report writing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leak detection investigations
• Roof inspections and water ingress assessments
• CCTV drainage inspections (training provided if required)
• Pressure testing, thermal imaging and moisture testing
• Diagnosing plumbing and building-related defects
• Preparing professional reports with photographs and recommendations
• Communicating findings with homeowners, builders and insurance representatives
• Using specialised leak detection equipment and technology

To be successful you will have:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a relevant trade
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and report writing ability
• High attention to detail
• Professional presentation
• Ability to work independently
• Current Victorian Driver Licence
• Current Construction Induction (White Card)
• Confidence using tablets and smartphones

Experience in plumbing, roof plumbing, building, carpentry, waterproofing, building inspections or insurance assessments will be highly regarded.
