About the Role

This is a practical, hands-on leadership role at the centre of our day-to-day depot operations. As Operations Supervisor, you will be based in Sydney and act as the primary operational contact for the Sydney depot, while also providing oversight and support to the Melbourne depot. You will work closely with Coach Captains and key support functions to deliver safe, compliant, reliable and customer-focused services.

You will keep day-to-day operations running smoothly by supporting Coach Captains, resolving issues, coordinating key operational processes and driving a strong focus on safety, service and compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading day-to-day depot operations across Sydney and supporting the Melbourne depot to ensure services are safe, reliable and compliant.
• Managing roster coverage, shift changes and fatigue-related requirements in line with legislation, policy and the Enterprise Agreement.
• Supporting Coach Captains with clear expectations, regular communication, feedback and follow-up.
• Coordinating operational updates, reports, payroll inputs, timesheets, allowances and leave entries accurately and on time.
• Managing incidents, risks and operational issues, including escalation and follow-up within required timeframes.
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding and early driver support, including depot orientation, documentation, compliance and systems familiarisation.
• Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Freight, People & Culture and other support teams to keep the depot running smoothly.

About You

You are organised, practical and calm under pressure. You understand the importance of safe and compliant operations, but you also know how to work with people, solve problems and keep services moving.

You may come from a transport, logistics, operations, depot, fleet or customer-facing leadership background. Experience in the coach transport industry will be highly regarded, but more important is your ability to lead a team, manage competing priorities, communicate clearly and follow through on the detail.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in operations, transport, logistics, administration or a similar hands-on environment.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with Coach Captains, customers, senior leaders and internal support teams.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn company systems.
• An understanding of safety, compliance, fatigue, rostering or payroll processes, or the ability to quickly build that knowledge.
• A genuine commitment to building respectful, accountable and customer-focused working relationships.
