Kong Developer

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Kong API gateway configurations and plugins tailored to client requirements

• Develop and maintain custom Kong plugins using Lua scripting and other supported languages

• Collaborate with solution architects and infrastructure teams to implement robust API management solutions

• Integrate Kong with existing microservices and applications to ensure seamless API orchestration

• Configure Kong clusters, load balancing, and high-availability deployments across multiple environments

• Implement authentication, authorisation, rate limiting, and other security policies using Kong

• Troubleshoot and resolve Kong-related issues in production and development environments

• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers

• Document solutions, configurations, and best practices for knowledge sharing

• Stay current with Kong releases and industry advancements in API management

What we're looking for

• Configure and automate API Gateway including routes , services and plugins ( Lua scripting ).

• Skilled in declarative configuration ( deck ) , CI/CD integration and performance monitoring.

• Deliver secure and observable API management capability with automated deployment pipelines.
