About the Team
This university-wide role supports the operational management of a Faculty or Division. Working closely with Operations Managers, Senior Operations Officers and a broad range of academic and professional staff, the team delivers administrative and operational support services across diverse activities and stakeholders.

Job Purpose
The Operations Officer provides general administrative and operational support to enable the effective and efficient management of a Faculty or Division. The role supports a wide range of operational activities and works collaboratively with staff, students, visitors and external stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, travel, expense, procurement and project support.
• Support recruitment administration, contract administration and honorary appointments.
• Coordinate induction and onboarding activities for staff and contractors.
• Support safety, risk and compliance activities.
• Coordinate and support events and operational activities.
• Assist with facilities, space management, access systems and security administration.
• Respond to administrative, HR, financial system, student, visitor, facilities and staff-related enquiries.

Skills, Attributes and Knowledge

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver quality outcomes under pressure.
• Strong computer skills, including databases and common office software packages.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to build positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Understanding of administrative processes and safe work practices.

Experience

• Experience in a similar administrative role within a large, complex and high-pressure environment.
• Experience providing high-quality client service.
• Experience contributing to process and procedure improvement.
• Experience using a broad range of administrative software.

Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

What We Offer

Base Salary Range: $87,295.00 - $99,865.00 (HEW5) (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation (pension)

The position is part time and will be made on a continuing basis.
