Bus Driver

Bolton Clarke Residential group now has 88 Aged Care Homes across QLD, NSW, VIC, SA & WA, with the inclusion of the Allity, McKenzie & Acacia Living Group.

The Location - Buderim Views is a Residential Aged Care Home located in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast

The Role - Words two days per week Tuesday and Thursdays.

• Engaging with residents, encouraging and supporting them to engage in the outing

• Putting equipment (e.g. mobility aids) and resident shopping into the bus

• Folding and unfolding mobility aids

• Staying with residents to allow staff to attend to other's needs

• Aiding residents with simple mobilisation including pushing a resident in a wheelchair (where trained to do so)

• Share feedback with the Lifestyle Officer / Lifestyle Coordinator at the end of your shift

• Deliver a high level of customer service, including the timely provision of agreed services to residents

• Drive in accordance with road and safety requirements maintaining due care at all times

To be successful:

• Previous Bus driving experience within Aged Care or similar

• Previous experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices (desirable)

• Experience with wheelchair access vehicles and wheelchair tie down system, (desirable)

• Computer skills essential for documentation, online learning and training requirements.

• Professional, clear communication.

Mandatory for compliance

• Current LR licence

• Full Australian Working rights

• Willingness to complete a police check

• Complete an online Suremploy medical

• Provide a copy of your traffic history report
