MAINTENANCE PLUMBER

About the role

Jim Monger Plumbing and Gas is seeking a Qualified Maintenance Plumber to join our team in Victoria Point, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining and servicing our clients' plumbing and gas systems to the highest standard. As a maintenance plumber, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on residential and commercial properties. This position is essential to our operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and system reliability across our service area.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct routine plumbing maintenance and inspections on residential and commercial properties

2. Identify and diagnose general plumbing and gas system faults, leaks, and inefficiencies

3. Perform repairs and replacements of pipes, fixtures, valves, and other plumbing components

4. Service and maintain gas appliances and systems in compliance with safety standards

5. Respond to emergency callouts for urgent plumbing and gas issues

6. Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each job

7. Communicate clearly with clients regarding work undertaken and maintenance recommendations

8. Ensure compliance with all relevant plumbing codes, building regulations, and safety standards

9. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any defects

10. Contribute to a safe and professional work environment across all job sites

What we're looking for

1. Current Queensland plumbing licence Cert lll

2. Gas licence and experience licence ideal but not essential

3. Plumbing and Drainage Occupational licence

4. Backflow and TMV licence and experience ideal but not essential

5. A valid Australian driver's licence

6. Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a qualified plumber in maintenance, self motivated and driven to work with team

7. Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing common plumbing faults and issues on the spot.

8. Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively

9. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly

10. Physical fitness and ability to work in various conditions and environments

11. Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and best industry standards

12. Ability to stay organised, work effectively and take responsibility on site

13. Strong ability to organise material, quote and run on site jobs

14. Great communication and service skills
