About the role
As a Principal Water Planning Engineer in the Integrated Water Planning Team with EGIS, you will provide technical expertise and leadership in the delivery of bespoke projects designing, planning, and managing water and wastewater networks to ensure efficient and reliable service delivery for clients across Australia and the world.
We are seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Water Planning Engineer to join our Integrated Water Planning Team. This role ideally will be based on the Sunshine Coast, however we will consider Brisbane based candidates.
In this role you will provide technical expertise and leadership in the assessment and strategic planning of water supply and sewerage networks to manage growth, compliance, network performance, and renewals. Your work will include master planning, options assessments, feasibility studies, and business case preparation, while supporting the growth of the team through active business development.
The role will require the successful applicant to:
Lead and provide technical direction on complex water, wastewater and recycled water projects from strategic planning through to functional design.
Supervise and coordinate project teams to meet objectives and client expectations
Facilitate client and stakeholder workshops
Provide technical mentorship to junior staff members
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Proactively maintain effective networks and relevant industry relationships to gain cooperation in meeting business and client outcomes
About You
You are a recognised industry professional with a strong background in water supply and wastewater management.
Ideally you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
Chartered Status (CPEng, RPEQ or equivalent)
10+ years of experience as a Principal, 15+ years' experience if you are a Senior Principal, particularly within:
Water & Wastewater Network Planning and Design
Water Supply Security
Water or Wastewater Treatment
Water Resuse/Recycling
Planning and Design
Technical expertise in hydraulic principles modelling including experience with on or more the following software packages is advantageous:
InfoWorks WS Pro, InfoWorks ICM
WaterCAD/GEMS, SewerCAD/GEMS
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring scope, schedule, and quality objectives are consistently achieved
For the Senior Principal role:
