Assembly Associate

The Assembly Associate reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for assembling and packaging of cables and electronics. The role is also accountable for meeting and exceeding company-wide expectations in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and attitude/teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembling of wire harnesses and cable loomsCrimping of terminals on to electrical wiringInserting of electrical wires into sleevesAssembly of electronic devicesSoldering of wire endsTesting of the wire continuityUse of semi-automatic cutting and crimping machinesEnsure required quality levels are achieved in accordance with specificationsMaintain a safe, organized and clean workspaceKeep track of components for multiple projects

Education & Experience

High School Diploma, or equivalent

Skills & Certifications

Experience with soldering, cable assembly, crimping and wiring preferred. Safely work around ESD sensitive devices. Ability to lift to shoulder height and carry up to 50 lbs. While unassisted: bend, sit, kneel, and squat, balance, twist and turn, reach over one's shoulders, walk and stand continuously for extended periods of time. Must be responsible and reliable. Self-motivated and able to work independently. Ability to read, understand and carefully follow work instructions. Ability to interpret assembly drawings. Detail oriented, with a firm understanding and execution of quality control standards.
