About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide recovery-oriented, evidence-based therapeutic intervention services to young people with mild to moderate mental health presentations. The successful candidate will work alongside other Mental Health Clinicians to deliver high-quality mental health services.
This includes working under supervision within professional practice standards and guidelines set by headspace Armidale and HealthWISE.

Key responsibilities
Engage young people aged 12–25 using a relational, strengths-based, trauma-informed and culturally safe approach. Apply deep listening and comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment frameworks to explore mental, physical and sexual health, substance use and social, educational and vocational needs with young people and their family and support networks.
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical services, including brief interventions, single-session support, individual therapeutic interventions and other treatment approaches tailored to the young person’s presentation, goals and stage of recovery.
Develop clinical formulations informed by assessment findings and collaboratively create, implement, and monitor individualised care plans and therapeutic goals that respond to each young person’s unique strengths, needs and circumstances.
