SSB PAINTING PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and reliable Painter to join our growing team based in Sunbury, Victoria. The successful candidate will perform high-quality painting work across residential and commercial projects while maintaining exceptional workmanship and adhering to workplace health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling, patching and priming as required. Protect floors, furniture, fixtures and surrounding areas before commencing work. Measure and estimate materials required for painting projects.

Apply paints, stains, varnishes, primers and other protective coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment. Prepare and mix paints to achieve the required colours, finishes and consistency. Paint walls, ceilings, doors, windows, trims, fences and other interior and exterior surfaces.

Repair cracks, holes and other surface defects before painting. Apply multiple coats and finishes to achieve a professional and consistent result. Read and interpret construction plans, specifications and job requirements.

Remove and repaint damaged, defective or uneven areas as required. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and client standards. Maintain painting tools, equipment and materials in good working condition.

Keep work areas clean, organised and safe at all times. Work effectively with supervisors, clients and other tradespeople. Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Essential Requirements Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience. At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Painter.

Strong knowledge of painting preparation techniques, coatings and finishes. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and time management skills. Ability to follow plans, specifications and instructions accurately. White Card and a valid Australian driver's licence are desirable.
