About The Role

Juniper St. Davids, located in Mount Lawley, is seeking a Personal Care and Activities Assistant (PCAA) to join our supportive residential aged care team and help deliver meaningful, person-centred care to our residents.

In this role, you will support residents with their daily living needs, social engagement, and overall wellbeing, combining personal care with meaningful activities that enhance quality of life. You will help create a welcoming and supportive environment where residents feel valued, respected, and able to live with dignity and purpose.

This role is ideal for someone with empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for aged care, who enjoys building relationships and making a positive difference in people’s lives every day.

The successful candidate must be able to work Fridays 0800-1600 and will be offered a permanent part-time contract.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meal assistanceSupport residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activitiesFacilitate engaging group and one-on-one activities tailored to customer interests and abilitiesAssist with transport and mobility to and from activities (if required)Monitor and report any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour to clinical staffMaintain accurate documentation and care/activity recordsPromote dignity, independence, and respect in all interactionsWork collaboratively with the care team, families, and allied health professionals

Key Requirements

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home & Community) or equivalent qualificationCurrent First Aid & CPR certificateManual handling and infection control trainingStrong interpersonal and communication skills, including with people living with dementiaExperience providing personal care in aged care, disability, or community settingsAbility to plan, deliver, and adapt activities to support physical, social, and emotional wellbeingCompassion, patience, and cultural sensitivity
