The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and team-oriented Apprentice Welder to join our Woodville North plant.
This full-time, permanent position offers an immediate start and the chance to work on a diverse range of projects in the design, manufacture and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.

Key responsibilities

Apprentice Fitter:

• Assist in fabrication and weld hydraulic cylinders to Australian standards

• Assist to interpret engineering drawings and follow instructions with precision

• Collaborate effectively with the Welding Supervisor, Operations Manager, and workshop team

• Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship

• Assist to create and compile accurate and concise service reports

• Assist the Hydraulic technicians as directed

• Ensure workshop is kept neat and tidy

• Ensure a safe working environment and report any safety incidents or concerns to the Safety Manager

• Ensure compliance with the relevant OH&S requirements

• Contribute to the participative arrangements and communication strategies for managing OH&S risks in the workplace

About you

• Progression and eagerness to work towards a trade qualification

• Mechanical aptitude

• Ability to comply with company procedures and policies

• Reliability, honesty and integrity in your approach to your work

• Team player attitude, sharing information and willingly assisting others to achieve common objectives

• Good customer service skills
