Quantity Surveyor

East to West Plant Services Pty Ltd is a well-established civil construction, engineering, plant hire and labour hire contractor with more than 40 years of industry experience. We deliver complex civil and infrastructure projects across Australia, supporting sectors including rail, tunnelling, airports, roads, bridges, utilities and drainage.

As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Mascot, NSW.

Reporting to senior management, you will play a key role in managing project costs and supporting the successful delivery of civil and infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects while contributing to commercial outcomes and business growth.

• Prepare project estimates, budgets, forecasts and cost plans.

• Monitor project expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Prepare and manage tender submissions and procurement documentation.

• Assess and process progress claims, variations and final accounts.

• Conduct cost analysis and feasibility assessments for prospective projects.

• Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain effective cost control.

• Review project drawings and specifications to ensure accurate costing.

• Prepare regular commercial and financial reports for management.

• Manage contractual obligations and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

• Identify and mitigate project financial and commercial risks.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within civil construction or infrastructure projects.

• Strong understanding of cost planning, estimating, contract administration and project financial management.

• Exceptional analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced project environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating/project management software.
