Casual Sport Coaches

Part-time | Casual

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Casual Sports Coaches to join our expanding coaching teams across a range of sporting programs for Term 4 2026 and Term 1 2027.

We are currently recruiting coaches with expertise in:

• Touch Football

• Water Polo

• Athletics (Track & Field)

• Cross Country

• Swimming (Learn to Swim)

The role:

As a Casual Coach, you will deliver engaging and age-appropriate coaching sessions, assist with skill development, and support students in achieving their individual and team goals. Opportunities may include before-school, during-school, after-school training sessions, carnivals, competitions, and representative sporting events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality coaching sessions.

• Develop athletes' technical skills, fitness, confidence, and sportsmanship.

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging team environment.

• Ensure participant safety and wellbeing at all times.

• Assist with competition preparation and event attendance where required.

• Maintain professional communication with students, staff, and stakeholders.

• Adhere to all child safety, risk management, and organisational policies.

Essential Requirements:

• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain as required by the specific role)

Desirable Attributes:

Athletics

• Athletics Australia Coaching Accreditation (Level 1 Community Coach or higher).

• Experience managing teams at school carnivals, championships, and representative competitions.

• Previous coaching experience in track and field programs at school, club, representative, or academy level.

Cross Country Coach

• Athletics Australia Recreational Running or Endurance Coaching Accreditation.

• Personal competitive experience in cross country, athletics, triathlon, or endurance sports.

Water Polo Coach

• Water Polo Australia Foundation, Development, or Intermediate Coaching Accreditation.

• Bronze Medallion or recognised aquatic rescue qualification.

Learn to Swim

• Swimming and Water Safety teaching certification (Aust Swim).

Touch Football

• Touch Football Australia Foundation or Talent Coaching Accreditation.

• Community Coaching qualifications through Touch Football Australia.
