Senior Marketing Communications Advisor

• Temporary, full-time role up to 30 June 2028
• Clerk Grade 9/10, salary starting from $133,348 plus Super + leave loading
• Open to all Regional NSW – Hybrid working

About the Role

Regional Economic Development division plays a key role in promoting investment, economic growth and Aboriginal outcomes across regional NSW. As the Senior Marketing Communications Advisor, you’ll lead the development and delivery of high-quality marketing and communications initiatives that showcase the opportunities, strengths and potential of regional NSW.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your strategic thinking, creativity and communications expertise to influence how regional NSW is positioned with investors, businesses, communities and other key audiences.

You will lead a diverse portfolio of marketing and communications activities, including:

• Developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans aligned with investment attraction and economic development priorities.
• Leading engaging, multi-channel campaigns across digital, social media, print, newsletters, events and other platforms.
• Championing the Invest Regional NSW brand and ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all channels.
• Developing creative briefs and working closely with designers, content specialists and digital teams to bring campaigns and ideas to life.
• Coordinating marketing collateral, promotional materials and communications activities for events and key initiatives.
• Acting as a trusted media liaison and working collaboratively across the division and Department to deliver high-quality communications outcomes.

About you

You’re a confident and creative marketing and communications professional who can operate strategically and drive the successful delivery of outcomes.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience leading marketing and communications projects across multiple channels.
• Experience in investment attraction and/or economic development marketing and communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across a complex organisation.

Essential requirements

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience
• Capacity to travel to regional locations, and to work outside of core business hours when required.
