About the role
We are looking for an experienced Ranger Coordinator to lead the Caring for Country Bulgul Ranger team in the Finniss and Reynolds River region of the Western Top End. This role supports rangers to deliver land and sea management activities, including seasonal fire programs, weed and feral animal control, fisheries compliance and the protection of cultural sites. You will work closely with Traditional Owners to ensure operations align with the Healthy Country Plan and seasonal work plans.
About the Role:
The position is based in Bulgul community, 200 kilometres southeast of Darwin, and reports to the Caring for Country Regional Program Coordinator. You will lead ranger field operations and deliver land, freshwater and sea country management activities aligned with Traditional Owner priorities. You will supervise and mentor rangers, coordinate day-to-day operations and ensure work is delivered safely, effectively and in line with organisational, contractual and work health and safety requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong field capability, cultural awareness and the ability to lead teams in remote environments.
What you will bring:
You are an experienced land management professional who can lead teams in remote environments and deliver practical, on-ground outcomes. You bring strong leadership, sound judgement and a commitment to working respectfully with Traditional Owners and communities. You are confident coordinating field activities, managing competing priorities and maintaining safety and operational standards.
You are hands-on, adaptable and physically fit, with the ability to support and develop ranger teams in remote conditions.
