Senior Field Calibration Technician (Adelaide, SA & Brisbane, QLD Areas)

The role of the Senior Field Calibration Technician is certified in Instrumentation and will perform calibrations, verification repair services and ensure that the calibration tasks and repairs being performed by Trescal Australia are of a high standard and comply with NATA and other regulatory requirements in the field. Service budgets also need to be met, and the senior position requires managing jobs and directing teams on-site as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform calibrations, verifications, preventative maintenance and repairs as requested by the customer and instructed by the Branch Manager / Team Leader for our customers in the field.
• Ensure all calibrations are performed as per documented Trescal calibration procedures.
• Ensure all jobs are completed in a timely fashion with best possible TAT
• Ensure that reports are accurate and error free before they are submitted to Admin or clients
• Ensure all issues with spreadsheets and or calibration equipment are brought to the attention of the Team Leader or Branch Manager, as soon as possible.
• Leading job and directing teams on-site as required, ensuring all planning is to a high standard
• Participate to ensure that the nominated monthly invoiced work target is achieved.
• Be involved and responsible for resolving first line customer queries and complaints as required.
• Participate and encourage teamwork within the service area and company as a whole.
• Delivering service to company KPI’s and QA
• Maintenance and calibration of internal equipment
• Ensure Laptops and Phone provided are treated with care and maintained in good order. Any problems, loss or damage are to be brought to the attention of your Lab Manager or State Manager
• Ensure any personal accident occurring on site or in Trescal Labs is reported to your Team Leader or Branch Manager and OHS Officer immediately.
• Ensure risk assessments, JSA, SWMS are completed as appropriate
• Participation in field management meetings and toolbox meetings
• Build relationships and maintain/grow business with existing customer base for TSA Field, identify opportunities to expand contracts by adding new sites in order to consolidate sales and provide better value for customers
• Any other reasonable tasks as instructed by the Team Leader or Branch Manager

Key Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years industry experience
• Trade qualification or diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related discipline
• Relevant AQF certificate IV or equivalent work experience discipline

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated experience in process instrumentation calibration and maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Current driver’s licence
• Willingness to travel regionally and work overtime as required

Highly Desirable

• Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 or NATA-accredited environments
• Exposure to PLC/SCADA systems
• Industry experience (mining, oil & gas, water, manufacturing)
• High-risk work licences (confined space, working at heights, etc.)
