About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Event Partnerships Manager to play a key leadership role within Experience Gold Coast's Event Partnerships Program.

Reporting to the General Manager, Event Partnerships, you'll lead a high-performing team responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of major events that deliver significant economic, social and reputational benefits for the Gold Coast. Working closely with event organisers, government agencies, venues and industry partners, you'll oversee partnership delivery, negotiate agreements, drive strategic outcomes and ensure our investment in events creates lasting value for the city.

This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative leader with strong stakeholder management skills who is passionate about positioning the Gold Coast as a leading major events destination.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the effective management of event partnerships, funding agreements and a portfolio of major events, ensuring successful delivery of partnership outcomes.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with event organisers, government agencies, venues and key industry partners.

• Negotiate, execute and manage partnership agreements, ensuring contractual obligations and performance outcomes are achieved.

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

• Work collaboratively across Experience Gold Coast to maximise the value of event partnerships and drive destination outcomes through marketing, destination and engagement initiatives.

• Evaluate event performance, analyse data and provide strategic recommendations to inform future investment and planning.

• Contribute to the ongoing development of partnership frameworks, governance processes and program improvements.

• Prepare reports and provide strategic advice to senior leaders and key stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring:

• 7+ years' experience in event management, sponsorship, sports, partnership or grant management.

• Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, relationship management and negotiation skills.

• Experience managing complex partnerships and delivering successful commercial or strategic outcomes.

• Strong strategic thinking, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
