Contract Administrator/Project Coordinator

Delivering architecturally designed homes, duplexes and multi-unit developments across Melbourne, Story Built is growing, and we’re looking for a Contract Administrator/Project Coordinator to join our team.

Working alongside our Project Manager and Project Delivery team, you’ll play an integral role in coordinating our in-house and on-site teams, helping ensure each project is delivered seamlessly and with a strong focus on quality, detail, budget and programme throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with overseeing all aspects and functions across multiple construction projects.

• Prepare and issue Scope of Works to subcontractors and suppliers.

• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders to subcontractors and suppliers.

• Ensuring project delivery is within the contract scope of works, contract schedule and project schedule.

• Assist in awarding and managing trades to ensure alignment with project requirements, timelines and quality expectations.

• Review and manage all project documentation, not limited to architectural documentation, engineering, project specification and contract scope of work.

• Review and process supplier and subcontractors claims, invoices and variations, verifying invoices against purchase orders and completed works.

• Assist with preparing, issuing and maintaining client/contract variations.

• Assist with monitoring forecasted project budgets and committed costs.

• Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the construction process.

About You

You'll bring

• Proven experience in residential building as a Contract Administrator or Project Coordinator.

• A strong understanding of residential construction methods and sequencing.

• Ability to confidently interpret architectural, structural and engineering documentation.

• Strong attention to detail, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Experience in construction management software. (Wunderbuild experience is highly regarded)

• Confident in communicating effectively with all internal and external Story Built stakeholders.
