About the Role

We are seeking a Practice Nurse (Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse) to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a nurse seeking a rewarding role with excellent work-life balance, while contributing to community healthcare in a busy and supportive general practice setting.

• Permanent part-time position

• Glen Huntly location

• Immediate start available

• No weekend or public holiday work required

• Supportive and collaborative team environment

• Working days: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will:

• Hold current registration with AHPRA as either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN)

• Be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care

• Have previous experience in general practice or primary healthcare (preferred but not essential)

• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Be confident using medical software and electronic health records

• Hold a current CPR certificate (or be willing to obtain one)

• Nurse Immuniser Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• Be organised, reliable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Hold a current Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement)

• Have basic computer skills and be comfortable using workplace systems

• Able to speak a second language (preferred but not essential)

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to and supported by the Practice Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the practice. Responsibilities include:

• Wound management and other clinical procedures as required.

• Immunisations and vaccine management

• Assisting with clinical procedures

• Health assessments and Chronic Disease Management (CDM) and Care Plans

• Treatment room and stock management

• Patient triage and clinical support

• Infection prevention and control

• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation

• Support quality improvement, infection prevention, and accreditation activities
